Senior Class HEIghten Assessment

NC State needs senior support! All 16 UNC System schools including NC State, are participating in an assessment of critical thinking and writing. The goal of this assessment is to provide meaningful information that supports student learning at each university.

Here at NC State we are hoping to “lead the pack” through our student participation. We need a minimum of 200 graduating seniors to participate!

The assessment will take 40 minutes and you do not need to do anything to prepare.  We offer flexible times to take the assessment, and food and prizes will be provided to all participants. All seniors were e-mailed the link several times over the past week.

All participants will receive: pizza, drinks, snacks, hot chocolate and Insomnia cookies! Additionally, participants will be eligible to win other prizes on the spot, including: one of (4) $50 Visa gift cards, gift cards to numerous Hillsborough St. favorites, and more!

All assessments will be given in the Language and Computer Lab (“Laundry Lab”) at the corner of Current & Stinson Dr. on main campus.

Only the staff in the Office of Assessment and Educational Testing Services (ETS) will have access to identifiable data. Your individual scores will not be shared. All data will be de-identified and will be reported in the aggregate.

Please help NC State lead the UNC System in participation and register to take the assessment! The link to register is in your email invitation. If you no longer have your invitation email, please contact Erin Longo (emlongo@ncsu.edu) to register.
