Spring 2021 Assessment Workshops Open for Registration

DASA Assessment is pleased to invite DASA faculty and staff to register for spring workshops in the spring 2021 Assessment Workshop Series. These professional development opportunities provide participants with a strong foundation in assessment methods and best practices. Learn more and register for workshops below.

Assessment 101

This session is for DASA faculty and staff that wish to know more about assessment in general. We will be providing an overview of the assessment process as well as specifically talking about outcomes and selecting measures. The workshop will be held on January 12. Register through Reporter.

Document Analysis for Assessment

We ask our students to write and create for us everyday. Utilize documents such as reflections, presentations, meeting minutes, and drawings to better understand student learning and behaviors. This session will introduce document analysis techniques and provide hands-on analysis opportunities. This workshop will be held on February 9. Register through Reporter.

Focus Group Moderation for Assessment

Focus groups facilitate the collection of rich qualitative data. This workshop will provide an overview of focus group development, from preparation to debriefing. Please come prepared to interact in a (virtual) focus group setting. This workshop will be held on March 18. Register through Reporter.

Equity Considerations in Assessment

This session is for faculty and staff that wish to develop their skills around equity in assessment. This session will discuss the assessment cycle and considerations for each step in the cycle for improving equity. To get the most out of the session, come prepared with a draft of your 2021-2022 assessment plan. This workshop will be held on April 23. Register through Reporter.

Bring Your Assessment Data (Drop-in)

This session is for faculty and staff to receive assistance and support with data analysis. Assessment staff will discuss best practices for analysis and provide individual consultation and analysis support. Participants should share their dataset and analysis needs in advance of the drop-in. Multiple sessions allow you to pick a data/time that works best for you! These drop-in sessions will be offered on multiple dates: May 7, May 14, and June 4. Register for a date through Reporter.
