The DASA Assessment website Resources page offers “theory sheets” summarizing major bodies of literature and associated measures for selected student success topics. Each theory sheet provides a list of research articles and seminal papers on the relevant topic.
As DASA Assessment prepares to assess first-year and senior students in written communication in 2020-2021, we would like to highlight ways that faculty have partnered with our office in the past to collect data on students’ General Education Competencies (also known as “Pack Proficiencies”).
Creating community at NC State matters. Through the Retention Foundations Assessment (RFA) process, units in the Division of Academic and Student Affairs (DASA) used division-wide data to make small changes in an effort to improve students’ sense of community.
The NC State senior competency assessment for critical and creative thinking will be administered February 17-March 5, 2020. Eligible graduating seniors can sign up for a time to complete the assessment on campus and should check their email for more information and how to register.
Annual academic program assessment reports are due to be submitted and routed to department heads by February 28, 2020 in the Academic Program Assessment (APA) Application (go.ncsu.edu/apa). The Office of Assessment is eager to assist faculty in finalizing reports.
